The first openly lesbian women to be elected to the United States Congress, Sabrina Sojourner is currently a widely recognized educator on diversity and multiculturalism. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Harvey Milk Award for Public Service from the National Gay and Lesbian Health Association, and others from the National Black Gay and Lesbian Leadership Forum and Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund.
